New systems and extensions
New premises need a system designed around the layout, the use and the risk assessment. Existing premises often need an extension: a new unit, a converted room, a change of use. We can add zones, devices and sounders to an existing panel, provided it is in good order and the panel type allows it.
Component by component
- Control panel — the brain of the system, shows the location of any alarm or fault.
- Smoke, heat and multi-sensor detectors — chosen for the room. Heat detectors suit kitchens, for example.
- Manual call points — at exits and along escape routes.
- Sounders and beacons — audible and visual alarms sized to the building.
- Interfaces — links to door holders, shutters, ventilation or emergency lighting where required.
Commissioning and handover
Every device is tested before handover, the panel is programmed, and a zone chart is displayed by the panel so anyone responding can see where an alarm originated. You receive commissioning records and a logbook for weekly tests, and we can look after the six-monthly servicing.
